What is there to say about Senator Harding? Not a lot, actually.
Harding is a Senator from Ohio, good at keeping a low profile, and his campaign manager, Harry Daugherty expects to win him the nomination through a struggle at the convention. He will have tread lightly and avoid making enemies before the convention opens up in Chicago come June.
If nominated, the hard part would be over. Harding would benefit from economic uncertainty, an unpopular President, and a proposed peace treaty which has harmed the goodwill many Irish and Germans had for President Wilson. Harding will have to build a national profile and keep the campaign as safe as possible.

Cox must make amends with many traditionally Democratic groups that Wilson may have fractured support from - namely immigrants from Ireland and Germany.
Cox will also have to press backing from Democratic leaders who have a lack of confidence in the ticket's ability to win, and if nominated, try to avoid an electoral massacre and the blame that would come with it.

A lot can be said about J.H Lewis. He's served two states in Congress - Washington in the House, and then later Illinois in the Senate. He supported Wilson's 'New Freedom' agenda and was crucial to getting it passed. Before his electoral defeat in 1918, he was in a leadership position for the Democratic Party in the Senate as Majority Whip.
Lewis would be a good pick to find the right balance between showing support for Wilson and his administration and moving the focus towards yourself. Of course, Lewis is not as young as Roosevelt, and some think New York would be easier to win than Illinois.
