Raised in Missouri, Disney moved to California in 1923 to found Disney Brothers Studio with his brother Roy and fellow animator Ub Iwerks. There, Disney found success in the making of cartoon animations, his most famous being the beloved Mickey Mouse.
Disney is a fervent anticommunist and an iconic household name, making him a popular conservative candidate. However, rumors about Disney’s antisemitism and racism may discourage minority voters and liberals, and his lack of political experience may also pose a problem, with his opponents openly mocking him for being a cartoonist.
